Ayodhya’s airport is becoming one of the most interesting pieces of the city’s transformation. From October, travellers will have more direct ways to reach the temple city, with new services linking it to Delhi and Bengaluru, followed by a daily Mumbai connection later in the month. The existing Hyderabad route is also being lined up for daily operations.
Ayodhya Airport Is Adding More Direct Flights This October
For Delhi-bound passengers, October 1 brings two afternoon options. Akasa Air’s QP 1608 is scheduled to leave Ayodhya at 12:50 pm and land in Delhi at 2:20 pm. Air India Express’ IX 1274 follows at 2:10 pm, reaching the capital at 3:45 pm. Two flights, two timings, considerably less schedule gymnastics.
Bengaluru gets its own direct link from the same date. IndiGo’s 6E926 will initially fly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Ayodhya at 9:30 am and reaching Bengaluru at 12:05 pm. A revised timetable proposed from October 25 would shift the departure to 2:15 pm.
Then comes Mumbai.

Mumbai Gets A Daily Non-Stop Ayodhya Flight From October 30
Air India Express is preparing to start a daily non-stop Ayodhya-Mumbai service from October 30. The airline has not yet released the final flight number and timings, so that part of the puzzle is still waiting to be filled in.
And Hyderabad could soon become an everyday affair too. Airport director Dhirendra Singh said preparations were underway to operate the existing IndiGo service to Hyderabad throughout the week.
The timing of this expansion is particularly noteworthy. Ayodhya has been drawing pilgrims and tourists from across India, and direct links with Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad put some of the country’s biggest urban centres within a much simpler flight plan.
The airport’s growing route map also reflects a bigger change in how people can reach Ayodhya. A journey that once meant stitching together road and rail connections can increasingly begin with a direct boarding pass.
