Flights between the UAE and India are resuming, but not back to normal. Airlines have already published new updates on March 29, and the message is rather straightforward: flights are operating, but the schedule might change.
Here’s What Passengers Should Know About UAE–India Flights

Air India Group Increases More Flights With Conditions
Air India and Air India Express are intervening to alleviate the backlog. The two airlines intend to operate 30 flights, including 16 special ad-hoc flights linking Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah with major cities in India.
Here’s how the schedule looks:
Dubai
Air India: Delhi
Air India Express: Delhi (non-scheduled).
Abu Dhabi
Air India Express: Mumbai (non-scheduled), Delhi, Kozhikode, Mangalore.
Sharjah
Air India Express: Amritsar, Kannur (non-scheduled)
Ras Al Khaimah & Al Ain
No flights scheduled
The flights are subject to slot regulations and regulatory clearance and thus may change depending on the time. There should be no fixed schedules for passengers.
Refund, Rebooking and What to Do Next.
There is relief in case your flight was cancelled or suspended. Airlines are also providing free rebooking or a full refund.
Air India customers can make bookings online or through call centres. Air India Express customers can also rebook via extra flights and use the airline’s WhatsApp assistant for faster assistance.
IndiGo Keeps It Steady
IndiGo confirmed that the flights to the Middle East will proceed as scheduled on March 29.
Key routes include:
Mumbai-Abu Dhabi (several services)
Delhi-Abu Dhabi
Hyderabad-Sharjah
Mumbai-Dubai
Once you fly with IndiGo, you have a higher chance of making your trip as usual.
Expect Last-Minute Updates
Airlines are also contacting passengers via registered mobile numbers. Messages, while useful, shouldn’t be your sole source of information.
Kindly verify your flight’s status and ensure your timely arrival at the airport before departure. Then, double-check. All airlines prioritise safety and compliance, which indicates that last-minute adjustments are still possible.
