In yet another feat of mountaineering, a 23-member Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) expedition successfully summited Mt Abi Gamin, standing tall at 7,355 metres, on September 16. Led by Deputy Commandant Parikshit Shah, the expedition showcased the team’s determination, endurance and strong spirit of teamwork.
The expedition was flagged off on August 7, setting the team on a challenging journey towards one of the prominent peaks in the Garhwal Himalayas. After weeks of preparation and navigating the demanding mountain terrain, the Himveers, the proud moniker for the personnel of the ITBP, successfully reached the summit on September 16.
