The North Coastal Andhra Pradesh region felt a mild earthquake on November 4, 2025. These tremors lasted for a few seconds at around 4:19 AM. As per The Hindu, officials later confirmed that it was due to a magnitude 3.7 earthquake. The location recorded was near G. Madugula in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district. According to experts, this place may have been the epicentre of this mild earthquake.

In talks with The Hindu, the IMD Director in Amravati, S. Stella, said that this earthquake was of low intensity. She said it struck at a depth of 10 km. She also explained that earthquakes with a magnitude of 5.0 and above usually begin to show visible cracks on roads and structures. However, she added that this is not a guaranteed result. The impact always depends on factors like location, distance from the epicentre, intensity level and the quality of building structures.

She also explained the general scale. Earthquakes of magnitude 5.0 to 5.4 cause mild damage in most cases. A 6.0 magnitude quake can be destructive to a limited zone. A 7.0 magnitude earthquake can damage a larger region and create more serious destruction.
