We cannot imagine the streets of Indian cities without street food. Be it vada pav, pani puri, aloo chaat, or even a glass of juice, we Indians love our street food and drinks. But sometimes, incidents like these make us rethink our choices. A video posted on Instagram by a content creator, @karan_dhanju26, from Punjab is now going viral.

The creator was out with his friend at a pani puri stall and was shooting a challenge video. Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from the pani puri water, the sweet and spicy mixture that is considered the most delicious part of the recipe. They realised that a live rat was drowning in the pani puri water. The vendor tried to take it out, but the rat jumped out and ran away from the stall. Not just the two friends, but several other people were also eating pani puri from the same vendor.

Netizens were shocked after watching the clip. One user wrote, “Don’t tell me he proceeded with his day and keep serving that to customers.” Another Instagram user joked, “Tell me this is AI.”  Another person made a funny remark and wrote, “Non-veg pani puri.” One user also asked an important question: “Do you think he threw that food away or sold it all?” Honestly, we are all wondering the same.
