Delhi Government To Launch Passport-Style Booklet
The Delhi Government has come up with an interactive idea to encourage children to visit heritage sites. According to this, kids from Classes 4 to 6 will get a passport-style booklet. This booklet will encourage them to visit important heritage sites across the capital. As per NDTV, the programme is being developed by the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) in collaboration with the Education Department.
This initiative is expected to launch after August 15 and will continue for the next six months. What will excite children is that this booklet will look like a real passport. It will feature the student’s photograph and basic details on the first page. The remaining pages will include information about 23 selected heritage sites in Delhi, along with space for stamps that students can collect during their visits.

What Does The List Of 23 Heritage Sites Include?
The list of 23 locations will include forts, tombs, stepwells, ancient structures, and museums. Officials have also revealed that sites such as the National Museum will be part of the programme. NDTV reported that students who visit any of the listed monuments will receive a stamp in their booklet. For the stamping process, special arrangements will be made at the participating sites.
The passports will be distributed through schools with the support of the Education Department and School Management Committees. The government believes that families will take their children to these heritage sites on weekends and holidays, as entry for this age group is mostly free.
After successfully collecting stamps from all 23 locations, students will need to submit their completed passports to the Central Reservation System (CRS) office. After the six-month campaign ends, the tourism department will select winners through a draw. Selected students will receive awards and prize money.
