Fourth Edition Of World Food India
As per Press Information Bureau, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), India, is all set to host the fourth edition of World Food India. It will be hosted from September 25 to 28, 2025. This event aims to position India as a centre for innovative food creations, attract global investments, and highlight sustainable practices driving the sector’s growth. Marking the beginning of this event, a curtain raiser was held on July 23 at The Lalit Hotel in New Delhi.
At the curtain raiser, Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Chirag Pawan, launched the mobile app, website and event brochure. Talking about the success of the previous editions, he thanked the participating ministries, industries, and stakeholders for their hard work. During the curtain raiser, key ministers, departments, embassies, and senior officers from the food processing sector were present to mark a strong start of the event.

This time the event will see participation from over 90 countries and more than 2,000 exhibitors. Also, thousands of people from the food industry are expected to attend it.
Vision Behind The Event
As per The Hindu, Chirag Pawan wants at least one food item from India to reach every home across the world. Also, Secretary of MoFPI, Avinash Josh, spoke about this event, and highlighted the importance of food processing. He mentioned that food processing is vital for India’s economy. So, at a global event like WFI 2025, international and local experts will come together to create sustainable options. Innovative technology showcases, buyer-seller meetings, and CEO roundtables are also a part of the World Food India event.
