In an unfortunate incident, four tourists were killed and 14 seriously injured after a tourist tempo traveller fell into a gorge in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh. The accident occurred around 10 km from Banjar town. The tourists were reportedly staying at a hotel in Jhibi. Here’s everything you need to know about the incident.
Tourist Tempo Vehicle Accident In Kullu Claim 4 Lives
On Saturday night, a tourist tempo traveller carrying 22 people skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. According to NDTV, the vehicle lost control due to slippery conditions caused by incessant rain while descending towards Bhuntar along a 15 km stretch.
As per the District Disaster Management Authority, the group, which included two children, was returning from Jalori Pass. Rescue teams managed to pull out 18 tourists, of whom 14 were seriously injured and taken to the Community Health Centre in Banjar for treatment. Unfortunately, four tourists died on the spot.

Car Plunges Into Gorge In Sirmaur
The Kullu tempo traveller accident wasn’t the only incident to shock tourists visiting the state. In a separate case, two people were killed and another was seriously injured after their car plunged into a deep gorge in Sirmaur district. According to Hindustan Times, the victims were travelling from Kupvi in Shimla district to Baddi when the accident occurred near Charna village in the Noharadhar area under the Sangrah sub-division of Sirmaur. As per the Sangrah police, three people were travelling in the vehicle, which lost control and fell into the gorge around 3 AM on Saturday.
