Some parts of India, especially the northern and central regions, are currently experiencing severe heatwave-like conditions, while cities like Bengaluru can expect cloudy skies and light rainfall. From extreme heat to heavy downpours, here is the latest update on the Indian weather.
Heatwave In Delhi & Cloudy Weather In Bengaluru
Residents across Delhi-NCR should take care of themselves as they may have to endure severe heatwave-like conditions over the next two days. IMD has now issued a warning that the maximum temperature could rise to 45°C amid hot winds and rising humidity levels. According to National Herald, some relief is expected from May 28, when light rainfall may hit parts of Delhi-NCR. Authorities have warned people to drink plenty of water, avoid direct sunlight during afternoon hours, wear loose clothes and keep ORS, fruits and water handy.
The same cannot be said for the weather in Bengaluru. Heavy rain lashed many parts of the city on the evening of May 26. The downpour uprooted over 50 trees and disrupted traffic across the city. Bengaluru can expect partly cloudy skies along with one or two spells of rainfall and thunderstorms on May 27.

Mumbai To Witness Hot And Humid Weather
According to Mid-Day, the hot and humid spell is expected to continue in Mumbai. Mumbaikars can expect light rain on May 27. IMD has forecast a maximum temperature of around 34°C and a minimum of around 29°C for the day. Despite the rain, hot and humid conditions are likely to continue across the city.
According to The Indian Express, central and northwest India are expected to reel under heatwave-like conditions. Along with Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh will also witness intense heat on May 27 and May 28. Hot and humid weather will prevail in parts of Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Konkan. Whereas isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the northeast regions of India.
