Winter, everyone’s favourite season in India, is finally here! In Maharashtra, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts cold and dry weather in many cities over the next few days. Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik will see more temperatures drop, with chilly winter nights and clear skies making the days pleasant across the state. Scroll down for more details!
Temperatures Drop In Mumbai
Various places in Maharashtra have seen a drop in temperatures as winter sets in. According to Mid-Day, Mumbai is expected to experience cool and dry weather until next Tuesday, with minimum temperatures in Santacruz ranging between 15 and 18°C, and Colaba seeing 18 to 21°C. The maximum temperature is likely to rise up to 33°C under clear skies.
Temperatures in the city have already dropped compared to the start of the week. Santacruz recorded a minimum of 16.7°C on Wednesday, 2.1°Cbelow normal, while Colaba saw 20.7°C, slightly below average. On Sunday, the city had a minimum of 20.3°C, which fell to 18.4°C on Monday. Wind speeds have been moderate, ranging between 11 kmph and 18 kmph.
Over the next few days, Santacruz is expected to record a minimum of 15°C on Thursday and Friday, and 16 °C on Saturday. Thane and Navi Mumbai are likely to see temperatures around 17 to 18°C. Authorities are also taking steps to control air pollution, such as firing mist cannons at Shivaji Park to reduce dust.

Weather In Other Cities
Bengaluru is experiencing the first chill of winter, with misty mornings, cool winds, and dropping night temperatures. The city recorded a minimum of 17.5°C, while daytime highs reached around 28.8°C. The IMD forecasts nights around 17–18°C this week, with areas like Hebbal and Whitefield feeling colder, reported Hindustan Times. Clear skies and misty mornings are expected to continue until mid-December.
As per Times Now, Delhi’s minimum temperature has been around 10°C this week, with a slight dip of 2–3°C expected by Friday. The maximum temperature will stay between 23°C and 25°C. Strong winds are improving the city’s air quality, but the Air Quality Index is expected to fall into the “very poor” category from December 11 to 13, according to forecasts.
