Indian Railways Announces New Trains For Vaishno Devi Pilgrims
To improve rail connectivity to the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu & Kashmir, Indian Railways has announced four new trains. As per Business Today, the first new train is the New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express. This train will take passengers to Katra, the base point for the Vaishno Devi shrine.
The second train is the Jammu Tawi–Srinagar Vande Bharat Express. It will help pilgrims who wish to continue their journey from Jammu towards Srinagar after visiting the shrine. The third train introduced is the Srinagar–Jammu Tawi Vande Bharat Express, and the fourth is the Amritsar–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express.

Not Replacing The Current Trains
The Railway Ministry has clarified that these new trains are being added to increase travel options and capacity. They will not replace any existing services on the route. Passengers can still book seats on trains including the Vande Bharat Express, Shri Shakti Express, Jammu Rajdhani, and Swaraj Express.
NDTV reported that as for the new Vande Bharat trains, they will be equipped with KAVACH, an automatic safety system that helps prevent accidents. Passengers can also use emergency buttons and communication systems during emergencies. The trains have improved fire safety systems and can reach speeds of up to 180 kmph.
