As per a report by NDTV, the severe weather led to extensive destruction, with overflowing rivers flooding residential areas, washing away vehicles and damaging homes, leading to a large-scale rescue operation.

In Rajouri town, floodwaters moved into low-lying areas after rivers breached their banks, leaving the new bus stand badly damaged and submerging several vehicles. The authorities also recovered the body of a woman who had gone missing during the floods.
