Travellers are now planning their trips carefully, looking into details like what they want to spend on, what they want from a holiday, and much more. Now, Skyscanner has released its Travel Trends 2027 report, highlighting changing travel habits and the most trending destinations. Read on to learn the details!
How Indians Are Planning To Travel In 2027?
Over 2,000 Indian travellers took part in Skyscanner’s latest Travel Trends 2027 report. The survey found that 58% of Indians are planning to travel abroad in 2027. They are also willing to spend more for better experiences, with 56% planning to spend more on flights and 44% on accommodation. Meanwhile, 67% of Indians are rethinking their destinations because another place is offering better value.
The survey also revealed how Indian travellers are prioritising experiences, culture and a break. 34% of Indians plan to explore a museum or gallery, while 33% want to visit historical attractions. Around 26% plan to attend music festivals or carnivals, 21% want to bring home a souvenir, and 20% simply want to disconnect.
The travel company also highlighted seven trends shaping 2027 travel. It includes Sound Bound, Signal Severance, Gymcation, Pilgra-merch, Sten Do Surge, Grand Odysseys and Currency Chasers. Around 43% prefer carnival experiences, while 43% need some time to stop checking their phones, and only 23% disconnect right away. Fitness is also in focus, as 91% of travellers are likely to book hotels with nutritional-performance breakfast options and 53% look for fitness facilities.
