Airport Expected To Ease Pressure On Mumbai Airports
According to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ X post, this offshore airport will also provide a major boost to cargo traffic at Vadhvan and Murbe ports. In addition to that, it will also be crucial in reducing the increasing passenger pressure and overcrowding at Mumbai airport.
According to The Times of India, the proposed site is approximately 4.75 km from the Uttan-Virar sea link. So, if authorities extend the link, direct connectivity to Mumbai can be achieved.
