Many devotees want to visit the sacred Jyotirlingas, but planning the trip can be confusing and challenging. Thankfully, IRCTC is here to take away the travel stress. Indian Railways has introduced an 11-day Sapta Jyotirlinga Darshan Yatra tour. Read on to know all about it! 

IRCTC Launches Sapta Jyotirlinga Darshan Yatra Tour

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has rolled out the Sapta Jyotirlinga Darshan Yatra. This is an 11-day, 10-night tour. Devotees will travel on the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. The journey will begin on September 25 from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi and will take pilgrims across Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra before returning to Delhi on October 5.

As per NDTV, IRCTC has launched the yatra in different categories to suit different budgets. The Superior AC First Class package costs ₹1,34,255 for single occupancy, ₹1,19,425 for twin sharing, and ₹1,17,305 for triple sharing. The Deluxe AC Two Tier package is priced at ₹1,24,755 for single occupancy, ₹1,09,925 for twin sharing, and ₹1,07,805 for triple sharing. The Comfort AC Three Tier package costs ₹1,05,760, ₹90,930, and ₹88,810 for single occupancy, twin sharing, and triple sharing, respectively. Separate fares are available for children aged 5 to 11 years.

Which Places Are Included In The Tour?

In this tour, travellers will first reach Ujjain. Pilgrims will visit the Mahakaleshwar Temple, explore the Mahakal Lok Corridor, and attend the evening aarti at Ram Ghat. NDTV reported that travellers can also participate in the early morning Bhasma Aarti before heading to Omkareshwar for darshan.

The journey will then continue to Dwarka. Here, the places include Dwarkadhish Temple, Rukmini Devi Temple, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, and Beyt Dwarka. The next stop will be Somnath, where the itinerary includes the Somnath Temple, Somnath Beach, and Bhalka Tirth.

The tour will continue to Pune, followed by a visit to the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga. From there, pilgrims will travel to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ellora, including the Kailash Temple and the Grishneshwar Temple. The final destination will be Nashik, where travellers will visit the Trimbakeshwar Temple and Panchvati.
