Kaziranga National Park Reopens

Since reopening on September 25, the Kaziranga National Park has seen a rise in both domestic and international tourists. Known for its lush greenery and diverse wildlife, Kaziranga continues to be one of India’s most loved nature destinations. According to The Sentinel Assam, every day, hundreds of tourists arrive to spot its famous one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, and various bird species.

Rise In Number Of Visitors
According to forest officials, the park has already recorded around 2,800 visitors since it reopened — a significant increase compared to previous years. As per The Sentinel Assam, out of these, nearly 500 are foreign tourists, showing growing international interest in Kaziranga’s natural beauty. Officials believe these numbers will continue to rise during the winter months when the weather is ideal for safaris.
Visitors are now also showing interest in exploring the eastern side of Kaziranga in Agoratoli, where safaris are closely monitored by forest officials. They’re making sure everything runs safely and smoothly for tourists. What’s making this season even better are the new routes opened in the Bagori and Kohora ranges. It gives travellers a fresh way to explore the park’s wild charm and stunning views.
With better management, new routes, and improved visitor facilities, the 2025–26 season is expected to be one of the most successful years for the national park.
