4 Must-Have Foods During Navratri

Here are 4 food items you can include in your Navratri diet as suggested by celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar:
- Rajgira– First is Rajgira, which can be consumed as ladoos, thalipeeth, roti, or even chikki. Rajgira is rich in iron, which is good for hair, improves haemoglobin levels, and benefits overall physical and mental health.
- Cashews – Next is cashews or kaju. Just a handful is rich in magnesium, which helps if your feet hurt, reduces body aches, aids sleep, and eases acidity. Magnesium present in cashews also helps calm the nerves.
- Bananas– Bananas are rich in vitamin B6, which improves mood. They also provide relief during pre-menstrual pains and are rich in prebiotics, making them great for digestion.
- Sundal-Sundal refers to legumes like chana, lobia, and rajma, which can be soaked and eaten as sprouts. Sundal is rich in amino acids that strengthen bones and support brain health.
The good part is that all these items are easily available and not fancy. Whether during Navratri or not, including these foods in your diet can be very beneficial.
