A major natural disaster has struck Nepal, where massive flash floods have caused widespread destruction. Several videos from the disaster have surfaced online, showing people caught in the sudden rush of water and buildings being damaged. Indian Regions On High Alert After Nepal Floods
In the flash floods in Nepal, more than 1,000 people have gone missing. This disaster has also raised concerns in Indian regions. India has placed both Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on high alert. As per Hindustan Times, the Union government is closely monitoring the situation, while National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have also been put on high alert. The Gandak River in India could see the impact of the floodwaters from Nepal, officials have warned.
Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are on alert as they share borders with Nepal. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Central Water Commission (CWC) has reported that water levels in Nepal’s reservoirs are now going down. The government said that the situation is under control and there is no need to panic.

Indian Tourists Missing In Nepal
NDTV reported that in the Nepal floods, over 1,000 people have gone missing, including more than 300 Indian tourists. Many of them were travelling to Kailash Mansarovar and had stopped in the Raswagadi area before heading to Tibet.
The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has also shared emergency helpline numbers to help Indians affected by the floods. The emergency numbers are +977 985 131 6807 and +977 970 910 7500. India has also sent 10 tonnes of relief material and essential medicines to Nepal. NDRF search and rescue teams are ready to be sent to Nepal if needed.
