Indian family gatherings are about food, conversations and a lot of fun. But they sound good when done in our drawing rooms, right? A video going viral on social media shows a large family treating the cabin of an IndiGo flight as their personal space. They can be seen unpacking boxes after boxes of food like theplas, dhoklas and other snacks. They then passed them around on disposable plates to other family members seated in different seats.
The video shared on X by @choga_don also showed some girls from the family applying press-on nails on the flight, while other members could be seen moving around the cabin with food plates in their hands. At the end of the video, a woman could be seen collecting the used disposable plates and other waste and putting it into a large garbage bag.

The video has now gone viral and has prompted mixed reactions from netizens online. Some social media users pointed out that it was harmless and that the family cleaned up later. Many others, however, found it inappropriate for a flight.
One user commented, “No civic sense”, while another wrote, “They’re eating together, absolutely having fun, not breaking any rules, not dirtying the plane and even collecting their garbage properly. Get a life dude!” A third user commented, “They act like they own the plane.” Another X user also wrote about how the smell could linger throughout the journey, and some passengers who were not part of the family might not like it.
