Piyush Bodaa (@piyushbodaa) recently shared a post on social media about a fight he witnessed on a Vande Bharat train. He was travelling from Vizag to Hyderabad when he noticed a passenger arguing with the catering staff on board. Curious about what was happening, he later explained the reason in his post.
According to him, the passenger had booked a Tatkal ticket on the Vande Bharat train. The issue started when the passenger realised that his ticket included vegetarian food, even though his usual preference was non-vegetarian. This led to a heated discussion with the catering staff.
But why did this happen? In his post, Piyush explained that non-vegetarian meals are not available for passengers who book Vande Bharat tickets through the Tatkal quota. He also pointed out that a large number of Indians prefer non-vegetarian food. So, he suggested that even if travellers book their tickets at the last minute, they should still get the option to choose the food they like.

Netizens React To The Post
This post about the food served on the Vande Bharat Express train has gone viral across social media, and many users have shared their reactions online.
One user commented, “Why do you even wanna eat non-veg train food? Avoid. Hyderabad has glorious non-veg dishes, hold your horses for 12 hrs.”
Another user wrote, “Uffff, what a non-issue to waste time on. If you don’t eat non-veg for one meal, you will neither collapse nor will the world come to an end. Maybe, as time goes by, the railways will manage it better. Phew! What a baat ka batangad.”
One more user added, “Arey bhai, 1 din ki baat hai, public place hai, veg khaalo na. Why do you have to create a nuisance for everything? Ghar jaake pelte rehna non veg.”
From these reactions, it seems that many people online were not very happy with the argument and felt the issue was being exaggerated.
