Noida Metro’s Aqua Line All Set For Extension
The Noida Metro Rail Corporation has announced that the Union Cabinet has approved the 11.56-kilometre Metro Link extension of the Aqua Line on Saturday. According to Hindustan Times, the decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting. It was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and a budget of ₹2,254 crore has been approved for the same.
As part of this corridor, Sector 142 (near the Noida Expressway) will be connected to Botanical Garden Metro Station in Sector 38A through an 11.56-km stretch with eight elevated stations. Work on the project is expected to begin soon. Once completed, Noida and Greater Noida will have a total operational metro network of 61.62 km.

Calling it a “boost to ‘Ease of Living’ for the people of Noida”, PM Narendra Modi took to X to announce this Noida Metro extension. “The Cabinet has approved the extension corridor from Noida Sector 142 to Botanical Garden (Noida). This decision will add momentum to Noida’s development journey. Congestion will be reduced significantly as well,” he added.
The Times of India reported that, with this corridor, the Botanical Garden Metro Station will integrate Noida’s metro line with Delhi Metro’s Blue Line and Magenta Line, making it a triple-interchange hub and also bridging a key connectivity gap. The eight elevated stations of this corridor will include Botanical Garden, Sectors 44, 96, 97, 105, 108, 93 and 91.
