PM Modi’s events often attract huge crowds, with people gathering to hear him speak and interact. The Prime Minister often visits different Indian cities to meet people and discuss upcoming development projects. Now, all eyes are on PM Modi’s event in Vadodara, where the enthusiasm was so high that registrations filled up within just an hour. Read on to know more! 

PM Modi’s Event In Vadodara

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Vadodara on September 8, 2026. As per Hindustan Times, his visit is for the public programme called “NaMo for Viksit Bharat”, which will take place at Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) Pavilion Ground. For people to attend this event, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) opted for free public registration through BookMyShow.

But what came as a surprise is that the event got fully booked in just an hour, and still 42,000 people are on the waiting list. As per Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, the demand is three times the venue capacity.

Fully Digital Entry System

PM Modi’s event in Vadodara will follow a full digital entry system. If you’re attending this event, you’ll get the M-Ticket through BookMyShow. The live QR code on the ticket will then be scanned by the officials at the entry point. Everything from registration, verification, entry and seating will be managed digitally.

If you don’t get a seat at the venue, don’t worry; there is still a dedicated zone for you. According to Hindustan Times, the administration has arranged special fan zones for people who could not get a seat at the main venue. At this event, PM Modi will introduce development projects worth more than ₹35,000 crore. The main focus will be on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC). Modi will dedicate three sections of the corridor, covering 326 route kilometres and costing over ₹20,700 crore. The sections are New Sanand (North)-New Makarpura, New Umbergaon-New Saphale, and New Saphale-New JNPT.

PM Modi will flag off freight train services from New Sanand (North), New Makarpura, New Umbergaon and New JNPT. He will also flag off a new passenger train between Tanda Road and Vadodara’s Pratapnagar and introduce the Jobat-Tanda Road new rail line.
