Raksha Bandhan 2026 was celebrated across India in full fervour among siblings. Indian cricketers like Yuvraj Singh and Bollywood actresses like Kangana Ranaut also took to social media to share glimpses of their celebrations. You can take a look at the pictures here!

PM Modi &  Celebs Celebrate Raksha Bandhan 2026 


Raksha Bandhan celebrates the special bond between brothers and sisters. On this day, sisters tie rakhi on their brothers’ wrists, who promise to protect them for life. The celebration also sees the exchange of chocolates, gifts and seasonal sweets like ghewar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi,  Bollywood celebrities and Indian cricketers also joined the celebrations in 2026. Many of them shared glimpses of it on social media with heartfelt messages and pictures. PM Narendra Modi kicked off the celebrations at Lok Kalyan Marg, his official residence in Delhi.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, known for her work in Queen, Tanu Weds Manu and more, shared a picture with her brother and a pooja thali with ladoos, rakhi and diya. The pictures showed Kangana applying a tilak on her brother’s forehead and then tying rakhi.

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh also shared some glimpses with his sister, with a cake on the table. He wrote, “Happy Raksha Bandhan to my amazing sisters. You’ve always been such a special part of my life, and I’m grateful for all the love, support and memories we’ve shared over the years.”
