A Rapido Driver Earns ₹1 Lakh A Month By Juggling 3 Jobs

A LinkedIn post by Komal Porwal, a copywriter, is now going viral and for all the right reasons. Recently, she shared an incident where she took a Rapido ride the other night. The driver was surprisingly happy and cheerful for someone working late around 9 pm. Komal couldn’t help herself and asked the driver, “Bhaiya, aap full-time yeh karte ho?” (Do you do this full-time?). To this, the Rapido driver smiled and shared that he doesn’t work as a Rapido driver full-time. He works as a Swiggy delivery agent in the morning, as a Rapido driver in the evening and runs a pani puri stall on weekends with his brother.

Naturally, Komal was stunned. According to the LinkedIn post, she also asked him how much he earns. The driver replied, “Lagbhag ek lakh ho jaata hai ma’am.” (I earn around one lakh per month). Let us tell you, earning one lakh a month is not easy. Many corporate employees dream of this salary. But it should also be noted that this Rapido driver is working truly hard. Juggling multiple jobs in a day is not something we can call easy.
