The Singapore Tourism Board and IndiGo have signed a year-long Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote tourism in Singapore, one of the leading leisure and business destinations for Indian travellers. The partnership aims to boost bookings through IndiGo’s extensive network, as it is one of India’s number one airlines.
Singapore Tourism Board and IndiGo Team Up To Attract More Indian Travellers
In a first, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and IndiGo have collaborated under an MoU. The partnership aims to lay the foundation for sustained tourism growth and better engagement with Indian travellers through a more targeted approach. Singapore, already a top destination for both leisure and business, now plans to boost bookings further through IndiGo’s vast network in India. As per the press release, India remains one of Singapore’s top three source markets. In the first half of 2025 alone, Indian visitor arrivals crossed 500,000, thanks to excellent air connectivity by IndiGo.
IndiGo operates over 270 weekly flights connecting Singapore to 15 Indian cities via Changi Airport, the most connected airport in Southeast Asia. This makes travel convenient and provides seamless access to the city-state for the passengers. The two countries are also celebrating 60 years of diplomatic relations. As part of this milestone, IndiGo will introduce ‘IndiGo Stretch, which is its tailor-made business product on flights connecting Singapore to Delhi and Mumbai from 9 August 2025, coinciding with Singapore’s National Day.

A Partnership That Promises A Great Travel Experience
This partnership between the Singapore Tourism Board and IndiGo will also put the spotlight on Singapore’s hidden gems and expand its reach to increase demand from across India. The one-year contract will also showcase Singapore’s multifaceted appeal and offer visitors the chance to explore its lesser-known attractions. Besides that, the initiative includes attractive travel deals, engaging co-branded content, influencer partnerships, and creative formats that aim to enhance travellers’ pre-trip experiences.
Talking about the collaboration, Ms Mellissa Ow, CEO, Singapore Tourism Board, said, “As we celebrate 60 years of India-Singapore diplomatic relations in 2025, our expanded collaboration with IndiGo and the launch of the year-long ‘Untold Singapore’ campaign position us to harness the potential of India’s dynamic travel market. By leveraging IndiGo’s extensive network and Singapore’s diverse offerings, we are poised to capture the growing demand for unique and meaningful travel experiences among Indian visitors. This partnership will inspire both first-time and returning Indian visitors, further strengthening the enduring tourism ties between our nations.”
Pieter Elbers, CEO, IndiGo, stated, “Given the strong cultural, commercial, and strategic ties between India and Singapore, there is great demand for existing connectivity between the two countries and potential for more. We are delighted to partner with the Singapore Tourism Board to boost tourism and travel between the two countries.”
