Japanese Creator Takes First-Ever Holy Dip In Ganga River
Japanese content creator Mayo Japan (@mayojapan) took to her social media handle to share her experience of taking her first-ever holy dip in the Ganga River, Haridwar. She revealed that she spent 13 years learning the Hindi language and Indian culture. Counting to three, the content creator took three dips in the holy river.
To make sure she did not get swept away by the river’s strong flow, she held onto a chain tightly. She then asked a person nearby if taking three dips was enough. The content creator was also seen pouring some milk into the river.
In the video, she mentioned that a random person was helping her shoot the video and was quite passionate about getting good footage. At the end of the video, she shared that she felt really good after taking the holy bath.

The Video Soon Grabbed Everyone’s Attention
The video of the Japanese creator taking her first-ever holy dip in the Ganga River has gone viral online, with many users sharing their reactions.
One user commented, “There are much cleaner rivers in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Please visit them instead. They are holier and cleaner as well.”
“Careful though, the water is not very clean, and as a Japanese, you might not have the immunity to fight the diseases it may bring,” another user wrote.
Another user simply added, “Har Har Ganga.”
One netizen commented, “I am sorry, but why would you put yourself in such a situation? That river is infected. There is nothing holy about it, and it can cause a lot of health complications.”
