Mumbai’s Vidyavihar Flyover Gets A Completion Date
After inspecting the sites of the Mumbai’s Vidyavihar Railway Over Bridge (ROB) and the Mankhurd-Maharashtra Nagar Flyover, the authorities announced the revised deadlines. As per News18, the inspection was carried out by Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) Abhijit Bangar and a civic team. The Vidyavihar Railway Over Bridge is now expected to open by August 31, 2026. Thankfully, a deadline is finally in place as the project has been under planning for more than three decades.
The project was first included in the BMC’s Development Plan in 1991. This means the 35-year-old project is finally nearing completion. Tenders for the project were floated in 2016, but several challenges caused delays over the years.
