Harsh Goenka recently took to social media to share a mesmerising video of a unique pookalam he witnessed at Forum Mall in Kochi. Unlike the traditional pookalams that are usually made with colourful flowers, this fascinating artwork was created using 2,500 sarees. This art is the world’s first-ever Saree Pokalaam. The artist behind this creative installation is Da Vinchi Suresh, who gave the traditional art form a completely new look.
In the video, Goenka shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how this massive artwork came together. Several workers can be seen working together on the ground floor of the mall. They spent countless hours carefully arranging the sarees to create the final design. Sharing the video, Goenka wrote, “2,500 saris. One breathtaking masterpiece. Human mind is so innovative!”
How Does The Final Art Look?
Once the artwork was complete, we could finally see the face of the woman that the workers had been creating. The artwork has been named ‘Chandra’. The video has now gone viral online, catching the attention of many users who have praised the creativity and effort behind the unique installation.
