Indian passport holders with UK, US, and Schengen visas can now apply for Saudi e-visas. With the 96-hour stopover visa and nine VFS Tasheel Visa offices that have been established around India to provide potential travelers with secure administrative services to begin their journey in experiencing Saudi. Saudi Arabia is also easing access for millions of visitors to enjoy this place!

With 10 lakh Indians visiting the nation each year, India is one of Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing markets. Saudi Tourism Authority (Asia Pacific) President Alhasan Aldabbagh hopes to have over a million Indian visitors to Saudi Arabia by 2030, across all categories such as leisure, cultural, heritage, and adventure activities.

With increased demand for Umrah visits, Saudi Arabia expects to receive over 10 lakh pilgrims from India by 2025. In an attempt to portray itself as a tourist destination rather than a pilgrim destination, Indian travelers will account for 20% of outbound journeys in 2022.

India is one of Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing markets, and they expect to welcome one million Indian visitors in 2022, with the greatest expenditure of any of our source markets worldwide. Travelers visiting friends and relatives contributed the most, followed by business trips and trips to perform Hajj and Umrah. 

Their goal for 2023 is to quadruple their visiting numbers, and their goal for 2030 is to reach over 12 million Indian visitors to drive a variety of visitation objectives in Saudi, including leisure, culture and history, and adventure experiences, Aldabbagh told TOI.

When asked about measures to entice Indian tourists, he stated that they have developed seasonal campaigns in collaboration with the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL). This is to launch bespoke promotional packages to showcase Saudi Arabia as the foremost leisure destination for Indian tourists.  (as per The Economic Times)
