Indri Single Malt Indian Whisky has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Whisky of The Year’ at the USA Spirit Rating Awards 2024. This accolade not only places India on the global whisky map but also sets a new standard of excellence, surpassing international and domestic competitors alike. At the USA Spirit Rating Awards 2024, Indri Single Malt Whisky made history by taking home five medals, more than any other Indian single malt whisky. Three awards were given to Indri Dru: “Best Spirit of the Year by Country,” “Single Malt Whisky of the Year,” and “Whisky of the Year.” Moreover, it received a “Gold Medal” with a remarkable 95 points, and Indri Trini obtained its own “Gold Medal” with 90 points.

Not only is this a victory for Piccadily Distilleries, but it also marks a turning point for India in the whisky industry globally. Indri has demonstrated that Indian whisky not only meets but frequently surpasses international standards by outperforming some of the most well-known whiskies in the world. Quality, Value, and Packaging are the three main factors used by the USA Spirit Rating Awards to assess spirits. Indri’s performance in each of these areas highlights its leadership in the whisky-making industry.

And Indri’s achievements did not end there. With an 8th-place ranking of 95.09 points at the International Whisky Competition (IWC) 2024, Indri Founder’s Reserve 11 YO Wine Cask became the only Indian whisky to be included in the “Top 15 Whiskies of The Year.” This is an impressive accomplishment, especially in light of the fierce competition—many of the leading candidates are older than 22.

Additionally, Indri Founder’s Reserve 11 YO Wine Cask won first place in the competition for “Best Indian Whisky” and “Best Single Malt Indian Whisky.” This accolade highlights Indri’s ability to compete on a global scale, proving that Indian whisky can stand tall among the world’s best.

Indri Dru took home two medals earlier in the year: a superior “Gold Medal” from the Tokyo Whisky and Spirits Competition and a “Gold Medal” from Meininger’s International Spirit Award in Germany. Additionally, Indri Founders Reserve 11YO Wine Cask won a ‘Gold Medal’ at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Siddhartha Sharma, Promoter of Piccadily Agro Industries Limited, expressed his pride, stating, “Indri’s unprecedented success at these awards is a landmark achievement not only for us but for the entire Indian whisky industry. It is an honour to represent India on the world stage and to bring home such distinguished awards.”
