But there’s an Instagrammer who is tired of these wacky restaurant plating and wants to ask restaurants, “Why do you hate plates so much?” Every foodie can relate!
Instagrammer Takes Digs At Restaurant Plating
TikToker and Instagrammer Freddie who goes by @quitefunnyforanonlychild shared a series of reels taking digs at restaurant plating. The presentation definitely plays a major role in the way a dish is perceived. Talk about first impressions! But Freddie wants to know why have restaurants ditched plates to serve dishes in the most absurd of things, that have nothing to do with cutlery in the first place.
In the first video, he is seen dressed as a server, bringing appetisers on an actual piece of rock. Bread is served on an unpolished plank. While fish is placed atop a chessboard and chips in potted plants. “We have one cheeseboard to share,” he says with a smile bringing a deck of cheese on a scuba fin.

Pretends To Serve Coffee In Tiny Trophy & Veggies In Watering Can
After getting an amazing response to the first video, his second video shows the witty content creator upping his game. Coffee is served in a tiny trophy. Garlic bread on what looks like a vacuum cleaner and veggies in a watering can. This video garnered over 2 million views with one Netizen who worked in a 5-star hotel claiming it to be an accurate representation of what goes on at the kitchens.
