For the 18th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival, which will take place from January 30 to February 3, 2025, Teamwork Arts, India’s festival curator and production company, has revealed the first speakers. Described as the “greatest literary show on Earth,” the festival will bring together writers, intellectuals, and readers to examine the transcendental potential of literature and its special capacity to unite people from different cultures. The event will take place in Jaipur’s Clarks Amer.

The largest book festival in the world will emphasise the ability of narrative to promote empathy and heal divisions in its 2025 edition. By using eco-friendly methods, the festival will also encourage sustainability. Over 300 speakers spanning five different venues will be featured in the 18th edition of the literary event which will showcase a strong lineup of Indian and international literary figures.

Literary figures such as André Aciman, Anirudh Kanisetti, Anna Funder, Ashwani Kumar, Cauvery Madhavan, Claudia De Rham, David Nicholls, Fiona Carnarvon, Manav Kaul, Miriam Margolyes, Nathan Thrall, Prayaag Akbar, Priyanka Mattoo, Stephen Greenblatt, Tina Brown, V. V. Ganeshananthan, Venki Ramakrishnan, and Yaroslav Trofimov are among the first list of speakers.
