Most scenic locations in Jammu and Kashmir welcome visitors from different parts of India and abroad all throughout the year. While a huge section of travel enthusiasts travel here to witness its natural beauty, the summer season sees an epic rise in travellers rushing to Jammu and Kashmir to enjoy respite from the scorching heat. Sadly, temperatures are rising in many parts of this region this year. The weather turned so unbearable that people were seen swimming in the Anji River.
Many People Bathed In The Anji River
Taking to the X platform, DD News (@DDNewslive) shared a video of people heading to the Anji River and taking a dip amid the intolerable rise in temperature.

Jammu and Kashmir is known not only for its breathtaking beauty and magical aura but it is also loved by travellers for its pleasant climate. The weather remains pleasant, enjoyable, and soothing even during the summer season and this is a primary reason behind thousands planning their summer holidays in this heaven-like destination.
Unfortunately, the summer season is too harsh this year. Even places with usually pleasant weather updates are seeing a noticeable rise in mercury. One such place is the Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir. The temperature rose to 42°C and people were seen heading to the Anji River to take a dip and enjoy a small break from the crazy temperatures.
People of all age groups, starting from children to young people to even adults, went to the river. Videos show how hundreds of people were taking a dip in the river and enjoying a cool bath. Everyone came together to swim and beat the heat. Some people simply sat in a corner, remained still, and chilled in the cold water.

How Is The Weather In Reasi District Now?
The temperature touched 40°C in the second week of May. Since then, the weather has reached as high as 44°C as well. According to weather updates shared by AccuWeather, the maximum temperature has been reported at 44°C from May 24 to now. The weather is likely to be the same in the next 2 days as well. The minimum temperature is between 26°C to 28°C.
