According to Jamnagar Airport authorities, the airport saw 40 times more flight arrivals between February 26 and March 4 during the Ambani festivities. They recorded around 430 domestic and 110 international flight movements during the Ambani celebrations in Gujarat. Read on to know more about this.

Jamnagar Airport Handles Record Flights During Anant-Radhika Gala

We all know how the Jamnagar Airport got a special ‘international status’ for a specific period during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations. This was mainly to facilitate ease of private jet movement for all the international guests. As per a report by India Today, it has been recorded that the airport saw a movement of 430 domestic and 110 international flights from February 26 to March 4. This is massive air traffic for an airport that usually sees three to four flights per day! Here are some more interesting facts about the flight movements at Jamnagar Airport during Anant and Radhika’s weekend-long ceremonies.

  • According to this report, at least 341 non-scheduled flight movements were recorded from February 27 to March 4 mid-day.
  • Most of these flights were private business jets.
  • As per Flightradar24, on March 1, the airport recorded 117 arrivals and departures by private business jets and chartered large aircraft. This was the highest number recorded during this Ambani celebration.
  • On March 3, 81 flight movements were recorded and on March 2, around 51 flights travelled around the Jamnagar Airport.
  • International guests like Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump, and Rihanna landed in Jamnagar in private jets.
  • The international flights came mainly from Paris, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, London, and Milan.
  • Around 5 Reliance Industries jets were deployed to ferry guests from Mumbai and other parts of India to Jamnagar.

Swanky Private Jets Land In Jamnagar For The Amabai Gala

The Jamnagar Airport saw many swanky private jets in its hangar, thanks to the fleet of celebrities, politicians, businessmen, and entrepreneurs that graced this weekend-long Ambani celebration. Many domestic and international guests flew by private jets to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding ceremonies. According to the India Today report, different variants of Bombardier Challenger, Bombardier Global, Bombardier Global Express, Dassault Falcon, Embraer Legacy, Embraer ERJ, Embraer Phenom, Gulfstream, Cessna 560XL, and Hawker 800XP were seen at the Jamnagar Airport during this time.
