In a sky-high development sure to send travellers soaring, three major airlines: Gulf Air, Royal Jordanian, and Saudia have unveiled exciting new flight options, opening up the treasure trove of AlUla to eager adventurers. From historic wonders to cultural delights, this boutique heritage destination is now more accessible than ever before.

Unlocking the Gates to Hegra: AlUla’s Crown Jewel

At the heart of AlUla’s allure lies Hegra, a majestic UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in history and intrigue. Nestled within a 52-hectare ancient city, Hegra boasts 111 meticulously preserved tombs, each a testament to the grandeur of the Nabataean Kingdom. With elaborate facades carved into sandstone outcrops, this archaeological wonder is a sight to behold.

Leading the charge in expanding AlUla’s accessibility is Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier. Starting from February 3rd, Gulf Air will whisk travellers away on twice-weekly flights between Bahrain and AlUla. These seasonal flights, running until March 6th and then resuming from April 10th to 27th, offer a convenient gateway to AlUla’s wonders.

Joining the airborne adventure is Royal Jordanian Airlines, set to launch direct flights from Amman to AlUla. Commencing on February 16th and operating twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, these flights promise a seamless journey to AlUla’s enchanting landscapes and cultural treasures, running until December 22nd.

Adding to the aerial extravaganza is Saudia, making AlUla even more accessible to European travellers with the relaunch of its seasonal flights from Paris. Taking off on January 28th and continuing until April 28th, these weekly Sunday flights offer a direct link between the City of Light and the historical wonders of AlUla.
