Reliance Jio has now introduced 4G mobile network in the area – officially the first in the region. Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Member of Parliament inaugurated the 4G services in Spangmik village near Pangong lake in Ladakh.
4G Services Other Than In Ladakh
Jio has also introduced its services in Kanji, Urbis, and Hanupatta villages in early May. Areas like Kargil, Zanskar, and Demochok have 4G services and Jio also provides broadband services in Leh town.
How 4G Mobile Network Will Improve Tourism
Better networking always helps a place to develop and gain visibility. This will be the case for Ladakh’s Pangong Lake too, as better 4G mobile connectivity will enable tourism to develop further in the area. As people’s lifestyles change, better mobile connectivity will also influence the tourism sector.

Ladakh’s Top Tourist Destination Gets 4G Connection
Ladakh is known for its monasteries, scenic lakes and specifically the Pangong Tso, hence the inauguration of Jio 4G services in the area will be a great deal for its development. Apart from Pangong, the other attraction which draws a large number of visitors in Ladakh is Leh, Shey, Stok Palace, Nubra Valley, and Tso Moriri. Apart from witnessing the locations, you must savour the local cuisine while there.
Trekking and Camping is also a hit among the visitors who visit Ladakh. A few places where you can go camping are Rumbak Valley, Sarchu, Nubra Valley and many more. For adventure sports, you might want to visit the Khardung La range to experience paragliding.
