The Cricket World Cup is finally over and although the outcome was disheartening for all Indians, the journey was fun nevertheless. Recently, the coach of the South African cricket team, Jonty Rhodes had to take a flight from the Kempegowda International Airport or the KIA in Bengaluru. However, given the marvellously bad traffic that the city is plagued with, Jonty Rhodes took a detour to a vegetarian restaurant. Can you guess which one?

Jonty Rhodes Takes A Detour On His Way To The Airport

In a wholesome post he made on X (formerly known as Twitter), Jonty Rhodes shared a little detour he took on his way to the Bengaluru airport. In the post, he wrote that he was on his way to the airport but the driver of his taxi suggested that he should eat somewhere because the traffic would be unmoving at that hour. Luckily, Jonty decided to take his advice!

The driver took Jonty to one of his favourite restaurants in the city, Bhagini Veg Restaurant. There, Jonty relished Mangalore Buns and a Mysore Masala Dosa! He finished his meal off with a piping hot cup of Masala Chai! If we had had such a delicious meal, we would also be in a very jaunty mood! (Geddit?) He clearly enjoyed the meal as he looked very content in the picture.

In the caption, he says that he was very grateful that he took his driver’s advice. He even shared a picture with the staff of Bhagini restaurant! How absolutely adorable! In the caption of the picture, he gushed about how awesome the crew at the restaurant was! We’re glad that he enjoyed the meal there and hope that he can make it back there someday!

Jonty shared the post this morning and since then, it has managed to garner more than nine thousand likes and more than 356K views. Many fans took to the comment section to express their delight at the incident. One poor chap even started craving Mangalore buns because of the post. Another commenter gushed about his humility and said that Jonty was their favourite fielder.

Some people even asked where exactly the place was located and some were even inviting Jonty to their hometown. Surely, Jonty was more than happy that he found this hidden gem of a restaurant and we’re sure that he’d want to visit this place again someday soon.
