The Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway is open to the public. Kamiya took this route to tell you everything you need to know about this corridor of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. To begin with, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will connect India’s two major cities and economic hubs.

This expressway will reduce the distance between the two cities to 1,350 km from the current 1,441.3 km. Additionally, it will reduce the travel time to just 12 hours – almost half of what it takes right now! On this route, the expressway will connect six states – Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and finally Maharashtra. The speed limit on this expressway is 100 to 120 kmph.

This massive expressway has some great things that Kamiya discovered during her journey. There are 30 lane toll plazas on this express and the wait time at them is less than 10 seconds. You’ll also see women from nearby villages working at these toll plazas. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway covers a long distance and many geographical demographics. So, to keep harmony with jungle life, the authorities have created many overpasses, underpasses, and wildlife corridors on this route.

Services and amenities like toilets, restrooms, stand-by ambulances, and state-of-the-art food plazas are either open or will soon be available. Currently, the expressway is only partially open from Delhi to Rajasthan, so don’t rush and plan your trip to Mumbai right away!
