It has been a few days since different parts of Kerala are witnessing heavy rainfall. From Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram to Idukki, incessant rainfall has created havoc across Kerala. Rainfall Updates Of Kochi And Thiruvananthapuram

Both these cities in Kerala received continuous massive downpours in the past couple of days. Rainfall at a stretch has now led to a massive problem for residents as many roads are flooding badly. With waterlogging in many areas, water is seeping into houses as well.

Kundannoor and Vyttila roads are waterlogged horribly, according to a report by Onmanorama. Houses and shops located in the low areas of Thiruvananthapuram are currently in bad condition.

This picture shows the consequences of heavy rain near a road construction area. With rainwater and an under-construction situation, the situation turned quite messy and unpleasant to walk by. The scary part is that Kochi’s weather forecast predicts massive downpours for the upcoming few days.

A red alert has been issued for Idukki, Kottayam, and Pathanamthitta for May 19 and 20, according to a report by The Hindu. An orange alert has been issued for the Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts on May 19 and 20. Districts on orange alert are likely to witness extreme rainfall.
Most parts of Kerala continue to receive rainfall in different intensities. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the Idukki District Collector totally banned people from travelling in the hilly regions at night from Sunday.
