Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has always made sure that they make the lives of the passengers easier. On Thursday, the BEST undertaking announced that it will be adding a new route starting next week. The new route that it will be launching soon will be from Kharghar to Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Not only this, but their plans include launching 40 more buses.
BEST Plans To Launch More Premium AC Buses
Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) is adding one more route from Kharghar to Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). This service will begin next week. Their new plans include 40 new premium AC buses that will run on all eight routes.
As per General Manager Lokesh Chandra, about 60 AC buses are currently running on this route. Two services are operated on each route in the morning and evening. The premium AC buses are operated on the shorter routes.
Lokes Chandra said that the new service between Kharghar and BKC is being launched because of the high demand from commuters. The ticket fare for this new service will be ₹175-₹180.

Frequency On The Airport Route
General Manager Lokesh Chandra from BEST said that the frequency of these buses will be increased on the airport routes. He said that soon, every 30 minutes, there will be one premium bus.
The services can be easily booked on the BEST Chalo Bus application. There will be no conductors on these premium buses, hence, passengers will have to buy tickets online. They can also use the tap-in-tap-out facility.
The tap-in-tap-out facility helps commuters use their smart card or mobile phone to tap in while boarding and deboarding the bus. The ticket fare will automatically be deducted from your online wallets.
All the BEST buses have comfortable reclining seats, mobile and laptop charging facilities. The buses that will be running on the airport routes will have extra baggage racks for your luggage. (As per The Indian Express)
