We are talking about the Koshary and Halwani Al Tahrir Restaurant, which has been administratively closed by the local authority.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority takes no chances when it comes to the health of the general public. Owing to the strict rules and regulations that have been put in place for the safety of people, the local authority recently shut down a restaurant in Abu Dhabi. It is responsible for food safety and security in Abu Dhabi and it shut down Koshary and Halwani Al Tahrir Restaurant, which is located in Abu Dhabi. This development comes after it was revealed that the restaurant, which holds the license number CN3824604, was found guilty of violating Law Number 2, according to Khaleej Times.

As it happens, the decision to administratively close the establishment comes after it was revealed that practises at this establishment pose a significant risk to public health. For those who aren’t aware, Law Number 2 is about food within the emirate of Abu Dhabi. It emphasises consumer protection and ensuring that there is food safety of items, whether it has been imported or handled within the domestic market.
Not to mention, it’s also the responsibility of the private sector to ensure that they hold the highest standards of food safety and food inspections. So, it’s worth noting that this development comes after recently ADAFSA has been conducting regular field visits and inspections of establishments. The motive is to ensure they are following all the necessary rules and regulations. Moreover, it is also being done to ensure that these establishments are complying with all the health and food safety norms.
