Kuwait Airport Radar System Damaged; No Casualties Reported

This weekend, Kuwait experienced a tense airspace moment. Law enforcement agencies verified that they have intercepted numerous drones that have damaged a major radar system around the Kuwait International Airport. No injuries were reported.

Officials intercepted some of the drones flying near the airport. The system used for air traffic monitoring suffered damage in the course of the operation.

The aviation team is also inspecting the radar system, which is very important for steering aircraft in the air. Aviation teams have intervened to make sure that the operations are safe.

Although delays and extra checks will occur, we expect flights to be delayed, according to the report by India Today.

Fuel Tank Fire Controlled

A different drone-related event caused a fire in the fuel tanks in the airport earlier in the week.

Teams of emergency workers were on 24-hour shifts. A total of 58 hours was needed to put off the flames.

The fire is extinguished, but the response teams are on alert. The check-ups continue throughout airport facilities in terms of safety.
