6 Loneliest Beaches In India No One Told You About!

How about unplugging from the chaos into a world where there are barely any people but the sound of waves are heard loudest? India has some spectacular beaches that are conspicuously lonely and will allow you to experience a close connection with nature and the soothing ocean breeze. Most of these beaches are nestled away from popular localities and have thus remained unexplored. Here is a list of 6 such beaches in India that no one has probably told you about:

1. Keri

Located an hour drive from Baga, Keri is one of the most pristine and cleanest beaches in Goa. Bereft of shacks and crowd, this beach is a secluded one where serenity can be enjoyed at its best. The Tiracol Fort is also visible from the beach.

2. Junput

This beach sits by a fisherman’s village and overlooks splendid casuarina trees. At this beach, brackish water fish cultivation is carried out. There is also a Research Centre museum near the beach operated by the Department of Fisheries. Junput is roughly 4 hours drive from Kolkata.

3. Ottinene

This beach lies in the coastal part of Karnataka, a few steps down from the  Someshwara Temple, Snuggled between Byndoor and Bhatkal, the Ottinene Beach is quiet, serene and breathtakingly gorgeous. The confluence point of river Sumana and the Arabian Sea is also near the beach.

4. Balighai

Balighai is one of the calmest beaches in Odisha located on the Puri-Konark stretch at the mouth of river Nuanai.  The beach is around 8 kilometres northeast of Puri. 5. Ranpur

6. Om Beach

This beach in Karnataka has derived its name from its shape. The beach is formed by two semi-crescent shapes and resembles the Om symbol. Located around 6 kilometres away from the Gokarna bus terminal, the beach offers adventure activities like surfing and parasailing too.
