You might recall that early this year, much to the chagrin of the locals, the red-nosed, abandoned Ilyshun II-76 freight jet from the Soviet era was demolished. For more than 20 years, it has served as a beloved landmark nearby the Barracuda Beach Resort on the E11. You’ll be happy to know that 3,500 pocket-sized plane tags were made out of the parts. Wings Craft will be making plane tags starting from Dhs 99. Around 3,500 air tags will be available starting this new year.

Wing’s Craft is a local business that upcycles discarded aircraft parts into distinctive decor, artwork, and gifts for your loved ones in an effort to honour aviation. Prior to that, Wings Craft started producing aeroplane tags from retired Emirates A380 planes, and those were a big hit. However, Fawaz Mohammad Ali, the company’s founder, saw the abandoned planes in Umm Al Quwain as a possibly unique next project.
Utilizing components from the wrecked cargo jet, the Ajman-based business has produced special edition aircraft tags. The use includes key chains or simply as a tiny memento for collectors. Your pocket-sized historical memento will be laser-etched with a special edition code, aircraft brand, model, tail number, and spec outline and made from the authentic components of this illustrious aircraft.
