Mumbai Coastal Road’s Northbound Arm Inaugurated Today

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde inaugurated the northbound carriageway from Marine Drive to Haji Ali today. Connecting Worli to Marine Drive, the road, officially called Dharamveer Swaraj Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Marg, will be open for traffic from Tuesday. As per Times of India, the northbound arm of Mumbai Coastal Road will remain open from Monday to Friday. The timings will be from 7 AM to 11 PM. Over the weekend, the authorities plan to shut it down to finish the remaining work on this stretch. About 90% of the work has already been completed.

It has been reported that the work on the rest of the northbound stretch will be open by July 10. This stretch will connect Haji Ali to Bindumadhav Thackeray Chowk in Worli. However, the work on the road linking the Mumbai Coastal Road and Bandra-Worli Sea Link will take a few more months to complete.
