Police officials and other departments often alert locals and daily commuters ahead of important events. If any major crowd is expected to break the daily transportation flow, advisories are usually released. On May 31, Mahasamadhi Divas will be celebrated at Mehrauli’s Bade Mandir. Ahead of the celebrations, the Delhi Traffic Police has already issued an advisory.

Here’s All About Delhi Police’s Latest Traffic Advisory

Delhi Traffic Police (@dtptraffic) alerted commuters by sharing the advisory ahead of Mahasamadhi Divas. Guruji Ka Ashram, also known as Bade Mandir is the venue for today’s Mahasamadhi Divas celebration. On this day, a huge number of devotees visit this sacred place located on the Bhati Mines Road in Mehrauli. Around 85,000 to 90,000 people from different places in Delhi, NCR, and nearby states are likely to head to the Guruji Ka Ashram.

The Delhi traffic police already issued this advisory to ease any chaos or traffic congestion due to the public gathering. Presumably, the traffic may be affected on some roads this Friday. To ensure smooth vehicular movement, the advisory stated a list of instructions and traffic regulations.

Starting from 9 AM to 11 PM, the concerned department is regulating traffic travelling on the below-mentioned roads and junctions:

  • Bhati Mines Road
  • Bandh Road
  • Sant Shri Nagpal Marg
  • CDR Chowk
  • Anuvrat Marg
  • Abdul Gaffar Khan Marg (Vasant Kunj Road)
  • Mehrauli-Gurugram Road
  • Mehrauli-Badarpur Road
  • Dera Road
  • Y Point Chhatarpur
  • Main Chhattarpur Road
  • 100 Feet Road Junction
  • Andheria Mor
  • Mandi Road
  • Aurobindo Marg

Follow These Instructions!

Commuters are advised to avoid a few routes and choose alternatives for better transportation.

  • According to Delhi Police’s traffic advisory, devotees from Faridabad and Gurugram have been suggested to travel via the Dera border and visit the venue conveniently.
  • Police are regulating the medium and heavy commercial vehicles travelling on Bandh Road, Bhati Mines Road, Chhatarpur Road, and Sant Shri Nagpal Marg.
  • The advisory stated a better route for emergency vehicles. It advised these vehicle drivers to avoid the Dera Road and Mandi Road and use the Mehrauli-Gurgram Road.
  • If possible, commuters have been asked to follow the above-mentioned instructions and also make the best of public transport facilities, especially the metro services.
  • Lastly, make sure you leave the house earlier if there are plans to commute on any of these roads and junctions.
