Unruly Passenger Tries Opening Door On Copa Airlines Flight

An unruly man tried opening the door of a Copa Airlines flight on Tuesday. The flight was flying from Brazil to Panama and was fairly peaceful. It wasn’t until half an hour before the landing that the man rushed to the back of the plane with an aim to open the emergency door. According to NDTV, he tried to take a flight attendant hostage using a plastic knife from his food tray!

Thankfully, other passengers on the plane were able to tackle him. They restrained the man and, reportedly, even beat him up for his behaviour on the flight. People on the flight captured videos and photos of the incident and posted about it on X (formerly Twitter).

According to an eyewitness, people heard a flight attendant screaming for help while another tried to hold the man back. However, he was very strong. Seeing this, fellow passengers sprang to action and restrained the man. They had to beat him to gain control of him as he was adamant about opening the emergency door of the Copa Airlines flight.
