Massive Sale, Snow And Lots Of Festive Fun Coming To Dubai This Weekend

Its that time of the year when sale is the only board you might spot in every nook and corner in Dubai. While we are all eagerly awaiting the Dubai Shopping Fest, this weekend will almost look like a mini pre-cap to DSF. Dubai Gifting Weekend is coming to town this weekend, from 12, 13 and 14 December and there’s loads for grabs. Besides some of the city’s stunning malls will also transform into a winter wonderland, adding on to the festive mood.

What’s It?

This weekend, head to one of the big malls in Dubai and soak in the festive cheer. The Dubai Gifting Weekend is here and malls in the city have a lot to offer including free gift wrapping stations, promotions and entertainment for the whole family to revel in. Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif and City Centre Deira will transform into a winter wonderland with Christmas-themed decor and festive cheer lingering around.

Besides, its the season of Thanks Giving, so shoppers can also come forward to donate some of their personal belongings to those in need. Moreover, the malls will also boast a wrapping station from December 12 to 25 where you can pack your Christmas gifts for free.

Festive Events

-In case you want to add on the festive cheer, head to Pointe and be part of a spectacular tree-lighting ceremony on December 13 from 5:00 pm onwards. And that’s not all! There will also be an ice rink, so don’t forget to carry your skates along!

-Until 31 December, Al Seef’ will also transform into a Winter Wonderland with a festive market as well as a snow park to keep the kids engaged.

– Festival City will be home to the largest Festive Market in Dubai until December 29. The market will open doors at 4:00 pm every evening and will feature an array of food stalls including Little Bite, Ginger Bread, Vanuato Kakaw and much more. Lastly, there will also be a breath-taking festive show called ‘The Night Before’- everyday from 6pm to 11pm.

– From 12- 28 December, Town Centre Jumeirah is hosting a range of festive activities for the kids and adults. From a snow play area, to workshops, petting zoos and stalls- there’s a little something for everyone.

What Else?

Meanwhile, this season, Global Village is home to more than 3500 outlets bringing in local flavors from across 80 countries. Besides, this time Global Village will be hosting 25 countries in their pavilions. From honey picked directly from the mountains of Yemen to authentic dates from Saudi Arabia, each of the middle eastern countries has their pavilion here. If you are interested in Asian goodies, then you must check out the Indian pavilion for its textiles and handicrafts. The Indian Pavilion is one of the biggest pavilions in the global village arena. Then there are also the Persian rugs and Moroccon home décor or take a trip to Turkey for some authentic Turkish ice cream.
