Matilda is an extraordinary story that shows how a brilliant nine-year-old girl with extraordinary powers deals with her abusive parents and fights the tyrannical principal of the school. A cult classic, this movie, which was released in 1996, is a famous one amongst millennials. But can you imagine the musical unfolding on stage with actors performing live? If this sounds something absolutely fantastic to you, then you will be pleased to know that you can experience this in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

Matilda The Musical Is Taking Place At Etihad Arena

Matilda The Musical, which is a multi-award-winning musical, has arrived in Abu Dhabi. The show is currently happening at the Etihad Arena till June 23, which is Sunday. A production that has won more than 101 international awards, it’s certainly a musical that you wouldn’t want to miss. Relaying the story of the extraordinary little girl with a vivid imagination and sharp mind, she is certainly in charge of her own destiny.

What About The Tickets?

Even though the show is already running, it’s worth noting that the tickets are still available. Yes, for shows until June 23, tickets are available across several categories. Yes, these tickets start at AED200 for the accessible category and go up to AED850 for the royal category. So, if this sounds like a show that you want to attend, you will certainly want to book your tickets right now!

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that this is not the only show that’s happening at the arena. In August, Bluey’s Big Play is coming to town and Chicago The Musical is also hitting the arena in September. In fact, besides musicals, the arena is also hosting NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024 and UFC 308 – Abu Dhabi Showdown Week 2024, which are happening in October
