McDonald’s outlet at Noida Sector 18 is under FDA scanner after a burger and French fries from the outlet made a customer sick. The customer filed a complaint with FSSAI, following which a team of the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FDA) took immediate action. They visited the McDonald’s outlet and collected several samples for investigation.

According to reports, the customer fell ill after having a McAloo Tikki and French Fries from this outlet. So, the FDA took samples of palm oil, cheese, and mayonnaise used at the restaurant for testing. The results of this investigation are expected within a month.

In another case, Theobroma’s Noida Sector 104 outlet came under scrutiny after a woman complained about falling sick due to consuming stale cake from the bakery. She reportedly considered a stale pineapple cake from this outlet. Upon complaining to FSSAI, the FDA promptly collected samples of the cake for laboratory testing. The customer said that the cake icing tasted sour and it made her realise that the cake was stale.

The FDA is waiting for the test reports of both the samples submitted from McDonald’s and Theobroma in Noida. Results in both cases are expected within a month. If any of the samples in the test report fail, then the FDA will register against the accused outlet.
